Concentration: Loneliness/Desolation

My concentration was on the feeling of Loneliness and Desolation. A feeling that all too many people feel throughout their lives and in every day occurrences. These feelings are commonplace for teenagers, young adults, and adults alike. These sensations can be seen in many different circumstances, from the unconventional to the unintentional.
In my images I choose to portray various moments I think capture these sensations. My images portray these emotions through the scenes I have depicted. From conveying being lost with no where to go, to being trapped inside your own mind. I also depict these emotions through a sense of longing apparent in all the works. In all the works there is an reoccurring theme of longing behind the character or subject. I display these emotions not only through people and models, but through intimate objects such as the lone sailboat and the statue.

This photograph displays color. The image is out of focus, leaving us with just the blurred colors. The viewer is drawn towards the entangled shapes and colors, blending and merging together. Giving this photo Value and Color. This image is also conveying a sense of Movement.

This image conveys Repetition, Pattern, Unity/Harmony, and Texture.

This image is conveying light and shadowing. The enticing lighting through the window and door draws in the viewer.

This photograph is displaying contrast, between the two colors. But is also conveying Form around the abstract three dimensional object in the center.

This image is specifically conveying Form. As the three dimensional objects are protruding from the wall and focusing on the form and shape off the objects.

This photograph is principally about Value and Color. The striking contrast and vibrancy of the colors draws the viewer in. This photo is also focused on Shape as another principle of design, as the various shapes in the photo come together to convey a certain meaning.

This inverted/infrared photograph is conveying Shape. The shapes and their shadows come together to form this pictures essence. Also exhibited in this photo is value/color and balance.

This photograph mainly displays texture. The ivy clinging to the textural wall emphasizes this element of design.
